The proceeds from this race support our efforts to serve children in need.
The goal of the Mending Minds Walk is to support our efforts of providing regular executive functioning, psychoeducational, and therapeutic services at the St. Phillip’s School and Community Center and The King’s Academy.
At St. Philip’s School, clinicians work with students on self-regulation, working memory, flexible thinking, planning and organization, study skills, and goal setting. The students are encouraged to continue working on building their skills in the classroom and at home as well.
At The King’s Academy, clinicians spend a day providing individual therapy and group therapy to students through play-based techniques and activities. During these sessions, our clinicians focus on building relationships, processing the students’ world, and providing psychoeducation on coping skills to foster each child’s social and emotional development.
